🚨FBI Has restarted their BigTech Censorship Initiative to try too prevent Trump from Winning in 2024‼️
Here we go again🙄
The FBI has declared that it would bring back its censorship program with all of the big Big Tech companies in an effort to keep Trump from winning the election in 2024.
The Senate Intelligence Committee's leader, Senator Mark Warner of Virginia, informed reporters on Monday that the FBI and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) have resumed their interaction with Big Tech platforms over censorship.
The goal of this cooperation, according to NextGov/FCW, is to "remove disinformation on their sites as the November presidential election approaches."
Warner asserted that these talks picked back up in March, coinciding with the U.S. Supreme Court's oral arguments in Murthy v. Missouri, a case centered on government censorship.
According to The Federalist https://thefederalist.com/2024/05/08/fbi-confirms-its-restarting-online-censorship-efforts-ahead-of-2024-election/ , an FBI representative verified to the publication that the agency had restarted contact with social media firms in advance of the 2024 election, when asked about the veracity of Warner's statements.
"The FBI is still dedicated to stopping malicious influence activities from abroad, especially those that pertain to our elections.
When necessary and strictly in compliance with the law, this endeavor involves providing state and municipal election officials as well as private sector businesses with particular information on foreign threats, the representative asserted.
"The FBI recently implemented procedures to facilitate sharing information about foreign malign influence with social media companies in a way that reinforces that private companies are free to decide on their own whether and how to take action on that information," according to a statement released in coordination with the Department of Justice.
According to The Federalist, an FBI representative verified to the publication that the agency had restarted contact with social media firms in advance of the 2024 election, when asked about the veracity of Warner's statements.
When pressed to resume talks with social media firms about efforts to remove posts containing alleged "disinformation" from their platforms, neither the FBI nor CISA had a response.
The precise businesses that the FBI and CISA are collaborating with on these initiatives were not disclosed.
When questioned about how they define "disinformation" and which other government agencies they are working with to get "disinformation" taken down from social media platforms, neither agency answered.
Murthy v. Missouri, a case before the Supreme Court of the United States, centers on claims from Missouri and Louisiana that the federal government's pressure on social media companies to censor free speech online violates the First Amendment.
This case puts the issue of government-compelled censorship front and center.
Judge Terry Doughty of the U.S. District Court issued a preliminary injunction in July 2023 that prohibits federal agencies from working with Big Tech to remove posts that they find objectionable.
"If the allegations made by Plaintiffs are true, the present case arguably involves the most massive attack against free speech in the history of the United States," Doughty stated in his ruling.
In September, Doughty's injunction was subsequently upheld by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. https://newsweek.com/courts-strike-blow-against-white-houses-social-media-censorship-opinion-1826831 Although CISA, which its detractors frequently refer to as the "nerve center" of the federal government's censorship operations, was not covered by the initial order, the court eventually issued a modified ruling to stop CISA from working with Big Tech to stifle free speech online. But in October, the U.S.
Supreme Court overturned the Fifth Circuit's order, essentially resuming the federal government's censoring efforts while it assessed the case's merits.
This summer, the Supreme Court is anticipated to render a decision about the merits in Murthy v. Missouri.
The government's censorship activities go beyond just one aspect, with CISA regularly organizing meetings between Big Tech, national security, and law enforcement to tackle "mis-, dis-, and mal-information" on social media platforms.
Leading up to the 2020 election, CISA intensified its efforts by flagging posts for Big Tech companies to censor, including ones that questioned the security of voting practices like mass, unsupervised mail-in voting, despite privately acknowledging the risks associated with these practices.
Neither the FBI nor CISA responded to requests for comment on whether social media posts highlighting the risks of mail-in voting would be flagged as "disinformation."
An interim report by House Republicans revealed that CISA's censorship enterprise was more extensive than previously known, with CISA and the State Department's Global Engagement Center (GEC) collaborating with Stanford University to pressure Big Tech companies into censoring what they labeled as "disinformation" during the 2020 election.
At the center of this operation was the Election Integrity Partnership (EIP), a group of "disinformation" academics initiated at the request of CISA, which coordinated with DHS and GEC to monitor and censor Americans' online speech before the 2020 election.
This operation aimed to censor "true information, jokes and satire, and political opinions," and flagged posts from prominent conservative figures, including The Federalist's Mollie Hemingway and Sean Davis, for Big Tech censorship.
The federal government also played a significant role in pressuring social media companies to censor the New York Post's report on the Biden family business dealings ahead of the 2020 election.
What the Hay man.... Still....??
